Married couples - sexier and more romantic than freewheeling singles?  Marriage Week launches The Quest to compile the top ten most romantically inspiring stories.

With less than four weeks to go before National Marriage Week kicks of for 2003 a new survey suggests that behind the nations doors and windows British couples are being surprisingly romantic and sexy with each other.

Most women think that sexual fulfilment is found only within marriage, additionally, two thirds of women thought that the best sex they had was with their husband. Only 13 per cent had better sex when they were single, 14 per cent when they were living with their partner and nine per cent when they were having an affair.

Fidelity was considered to be the most important component of a successful relationship, whilst the overwhelming majority of women ranked "love, affection and hugs" above sexual performance.  A total of 2,000 women were questioned. Their average age was 36 and the majority were married.

Women criticised television for sending out the wrong messages. EastEnders was singled out in particular for implying that infidelity was normal. Sex And The City, Trisha and The Jerry Springer Show were also blamed.

Juliette Kellow, editor of Top Sante magazine said: "Although popular television programmes focus on dysfunctional relationships, most women crave the love and companionship of one soulmate.  Marriages like David and Victoria Beckham and Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas are an inspiration to the younger generation, many of whom have suffered parental divorce."

Richard Kane, Director of National Marriage Week said, “There must be more to romance than just love, affection and hugs.  Marriage provides great security, but seemingly also great passion, we want to hear from the nations most ordinary couples who are just normally romantic, and compile the top ten most romanticly inspiring moments”.

So if your hubby is a total darling, or your wife a complete babe we want to know the who, why, what where and when.
